And there, 2-METHYL-4-ISOTHIAZOLIN-3ONE(MIT) is often used in combination with either Chloromethylisothiazolinone (known as Kathon CG when paired with methylisothiazolinone) or Benzisothiazolinone (an added antiseptic). 2-METHYL-4-ISOTHIAZOLIN-3ONE(MIT) is also used to control the growth of mold, mildew, and sapstain on wood products.
